Václav Zapadlík - Czech Cars – Škoda II.

On the 3rd September, 2014 the Ministry of  Industry and Trade  of the Czech Republic will  issue a self-adhesive stamp booklet with 2 different definitive postage stamps with imprinted letter „A“  from the issue Václav Zapadlík – Czech cars – Škoda II. The  letter „A“ corresponds to the price of an ordinary domestic letter – standard to 50 g in accordance with the Price list of basic postal services in the current version – at present amounting to CZK 13.
On 2 different self-adhesive stamps are depicted these cars: Škoda Popular Monte Carlo, vintage 1938 (a) and Škoda Superb 3000, vintage 1941 (b).
Václav Zapadlík was born on the 23rd September, 1943 in Prague. In the 90s the whole world began to be interested in his painting art. He cooperated with the Blackhawk Automotive Museum, we can find his works  in galleries in San Francisco and in Pebble Beach. After the success of his stamp booklets “World cars” and “Czech cars – Škoda I” the Czech post comes with a second booklet dedicated to cars Škoda. Issues on the theme of historic cars will continue
The author of the graphic arrangement is Václav Zapadlík.
The both stamps, sized 50 x 29 mm  will be printed  by  the Post  Printing House in Prague  by multicoloured offset and will be issued  in  a self-adhesive stamp booklet four pieces of each stamp.  The front page of the booklet  depicts four cars: Škoda Popular 1935, Škoda Popular 1939, Škoda „Tudor“ 1101, vintage 1947 and Škoda Rapid 1937. Inside of the stamp booklet are 8 stamps (2 x 4). On the back side over the text in Czech and English language is placed a self-portrait of the author and below his signature, barcode, logo of the Czech Post and a hologram serving as a protective element. 
There  will be  2 First Day Covers incl. commemorative cancellations. In the picture part of the covers are  depicted cars of the same brands as on the stamps: Škoda Popular Monte Carlo (a), and  Škoda Superb 3000, vintage 1941 (b). The covers are  printed by offset  in blue-violet. On the postmarks are depicted a) the silhouette of Škoda Popular Monte Carlo and the text: Praha, 3.9.2014 and b) the silhouette of Škoda Superb 3000 and the text: Mladá Boleslav, 3.9.2014
The stamps are valid from 3rd September, 2014.
