Staré fotoaparáty na novém francouzském aršíku / Old cameras on new French m/s / Appareils photographiques anciens en France

Its invention dates back to the early 19th century when French Nicéphore Niepce managed in 1827 to record and fix an image formed from the action of light. Another French, Louis-Jacques Daguerre, is recognized as the inventor of the first photographic process in 1839.
On November 9, 2014 (the last day of the "Salon Philatélique d'Automne" in Paris), La Poste has issued in preview sale a souvenir sheet (6 stamps), in the series "Le coin du collectionneur" ("Collector's corner"), tracing the history of photography through devices having marked the evolution of techniques.
It is that souvenir sheet (print run : 825,200) that appears on the first day cover below with a postmark designed by Sandy Coffinet.
To note that the stamps of that sheet, designed by Pierre-André Cousin, have been partially engraved by Marie-Noëlle Goffin. These two artists have signed on the margin to the left on this sheet :-) ... http://timbredujura.blogspot.com/2014/11/old-cameras-on-new-french-ms.html
