"Velvet Revolution 30th Anniversary" joint stamp on covers from Czech Republic and Slovakia / Timbre commun "30 ans de la Révolution de Velours" sur lettres de Rép. tchèque et Slovaquie
Le 13 novembre 2019, les administrations postales de
République tchèque et de Slovaquie ont mis en circulation un timbre commun
consacré au 30ème anniversaire de la Révolution de Velours ("Sametová
revoluce" en tchèque, "Nežná revolúcia" en slovaque), le nom de
ce soulèvement populaire qui se déroula en Tchécoslovaquie du 16 novembre au 29
décembre 1989, précipitant la chute du régime du Parti communiste
tchécoslovaque et la fin de la République socialiste tchécoslovaque, dans la
lignée de la chute des régimes communistes d'Europe de l'Est.
La poste tchèque a émis ce timbre (44 CZK, conception : Zdeněk Netopil, gravure
: Václav Fajt) sous forme de bloc-feuillet avec marge illustrée représentant
Karel Kryl (1944-1994), un chanteur populaire tchèque qui a écrit et chanté de
nombreuses chansons très critiques envers le régime communiste tchécoslovaque… WEB

On November 13, 2019, the postal administrations of Czech Republic and Slovakia put into circulation a joint stamp dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution ("Sametová revoluce" in Czech, "Nežná revolúcia" in Slovak), the name of this popular uprising which took place in Czechoslovakia from November 16 to December 29, 1989, precipitating the fall of the Czechoslovak Communist Party regime and the end of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, in line with the fall of the communist regimes in Eastern Europe.
The Czech Post issued this stamp (44 CZK, design: Zdeněk Netopil, engraving: Václav Fajt) in the form of a souvenir sheet with illustrated margin depicting Karel Kryl (1944-1994), a popular Czech singer who wrote and sang many songs very critical towards the Czechoslovak communist regime… WEB
