The 100th "Primátorky" in Prague is back!

In a post published on July 3, 2013, I shared with you several covers devoted to the 100th edition of the "Primátorky" ("Prague Mayors Eights") rowing race that had to be held from 7 to 9 June 2013 on the Vltava River in the center of the Czech capital... On this occasion, a personalized stamp as well as some special pictural cancellations were issued. But due to severe flooding, this event was canceled and postponed to September 20, 2013 ...  http://timbredujura.blogspot.com/2013/10/100eme-edition-de-la-primatorky-prague.html

A big thank for this letter below mailed on September 18, 2013 from Prague :-)
To note the inkmark "FD" ("Wrong Direction" in French) applied in France due to an error in the postal code...
Bret used to the right a stamp (12 Kč) being part of a set of two stamps, issued on October 1, 2003, depicting some oriental carpets kept in Czech museums.
That stamp, designed by Jan Kavan and engraved by Václav Fajt, is devoted to a carpet crafted in the 18th century in Turkey, used in everyday life.
This carpet is kept at the Náprstek Museum in Prague, devoted to Asian, African and American cultures...  http://timbredujura.blogspot.com/2013/10/tapis-oriental-et-timbre-de.html

Postcrossing: Moderní směna pohlednic bortí mýty o listovní poště

Všichni z nás starších si pamatujeme konec 60. a začátek 70. let, kdy v Československu probíhala pyramidová hra o pohlednice.
A Češi? Statistiky Postcrossingu uvádějí 1,9 % Čechů v celkovém počtu účastníků. Potom se bavíme o aktuálním čísle 8.405 Čechů zapojených do výměny pohlednic Postcrossing!
Pro pošty celého světa lahodné informace, že listovní zásilky ještě nejsou odpískány digitální technikou a mobily. Totéž platí pro filatelisty.
--
Vstupní podmínky:
Korektnost, poctivost, nezdržování, přísné odesílání na vygenerovanou adresu. Peníze anebo členské příspěvky? Věk? Finance a podmínky žádné!

This event is celebrated every year since 1969, on the anniversary of the founding of the UPU (Universal Postal Union), and commemorates all the hard work and social contributions of the postal services worldwide.
So across the world, post offices celebrate this special day in many different ways. This includes special philatelic exhibitions, free entrance in postal and communications museums, introducing new products and services, special cancellation marks, seminars, workshops and more! ... http://www.postcrossing.com/world-post-day

Nouveau souvenir de la foire Sběratel à Prague / A new special cover from the Sběratel Fair in Prague

Another example of special cover sent from the last International Fair for collectors "Sběratel" held in Prague from 5 to 7 September 2013. Thank you very much Slavek for this letter of September 6, 2013, with this special postmark including the logo of this fair devoted to several collections (stamps, coins, postcards, minerals...).
I've already mentioned in previous posts the different stamps used below and in particular the stamp to the right being part of a beautiful souvenir sheet (4 stamps + 4 coupons) issued on September 4, 2013, devoted to the Karlštejn National Nature Reserve... http://timbredujura.blogspot.com/2013/10/nouveau-souvenir-de-la-foire-sberatel.html

Flamme illustrée tchèque consacrée à Josef Bican / Czech "Josef Bican" pictural cancellation

--

--

... http://timbredujura.blogspot.com/2013/09/flamme-illustree-tcheque-consacree.html

I've spoken yesterday on this blog about the stamp issued on September 18, 2013 by the Czech Post, devoted to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Josef "Pepi" Bican (1913-2001), one of the greatest scorers in the history of world football.
Thanks to the two other covers below franked with that same stamp (in 2 copies), I learned that I had something in common with "Pepi" Bican because as I am, he was born on September 25th! ... http://timbredujura.blogspot.com/2013/09/flamme-illustree-tcheque-consacree.html
