120 ans de tennis en Rép. Tchèque / 120 years of tennis in Czech Rep.

La poste tchèque a choisi la date très spéciale du 11.12.13 pour émettre une impressionnante feuille composée de de 25 timbres personnalisés ("Vlastní známky") autocollants différents, consacrée au 120ème anniversaire du tennis tchèque.
C'est en effet le colonel Josef Cifka (1867-1948) qui créa en mars 1893 le 1er club de tennis à Prague, I. Český Lawn-Tennis Klub.
Lors de ces 120 ans, de nombreux sportifs tchécoslovaques puis tchèques se sont illustrés dans cette discipline sportive (Jan Kodes, Ivan Lendl, Martina Navratilova, Hana Mandlikova, Miloslav Mecir, Jana Novotna, Petra Kvitova ou Tomas Berdych pour les plus connus dans le monde...), la plupart ayant remporté de nombreux tournois du Grand Chelem...  http://timbredujura.blogspot.com/2013/12/120-ans-de-tennis-en-rep-tcheque.html

The Czech Post has chosen the very special date of 11.12.13 to release an impressive sheet composed of 25 different self-adhesive personalized stamps ("Vlastní známky"), dedicated to the 120th anniversary of Czech tennis.
It is indeed Colonel Josef Cifka (1867-1948) who created in March 1893 the first tennis club in Prague, I. Český Lawn-Tennis Klub.
