400 ans de la Bible de Kralice en Rép. Tchèque / 400 years of the Bible of Kralice in Czech Rep.

A l'initiative des Frères Tchèques ("Unitas Fratrum"), une branche du protestantisme issue de l'église hussite,
la première traduction complète en tchèque de la bible (à partir des langues bibliques originales: l'hébreu, l'araméen et le grec) a été imprimée dans la ville de Kralice en Moravie.
La 1ère édition, qui contenait 6 volumes, a été publiée entre 1579 et 1593 mais c'est la troisième traduction, datant de 1613, qui est la plus largement connue aujourd'hui.
400 ans plus tard, la poste tchèque a émis un timbre (17 CZK) le 16 octobre 2013 consacré à cette Bible de Kralice.

At the initiative of the Czech Brethren ("Unitas Fratrum"), a branch of Protestantism from the Hussite Church, the first complete Czech translation of the Bible (from the original biblical languages: Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek) was printed in the city of Kralice in Moravia.
The first edition, which contained six volumes, was published between 1579 and 1593 but it is the third translation, dating from 1613, that is the most widely known today.
400 years later, the Czech Post issued a stamp (17 CZK) on October 16, 2013 devoted to this Bible of Kralice.
