On February 11, 2011, the postal administrations of four countries (Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland) belonging to the Visegrád Group had issued, at the initiative of Slovakia, a joint stamp to commemorate the 20th anniversary of its creation.
Visegrád Group was established in 1991 during a summit of heads of state of Czechoslovakia, Poland and Hungary organized in the Hungarian town of Visegrád.
The purpose of this informal organization was then to establish cooperation between these three countries (four countries from 1993 after the partition of Czechoslovakia) to accelerate the European integration process.
The Czech version of this joint stamp (design : Barnabás Baticz) was used on the numbered commemorative sheet above (print run : 1,700 - numbered between 0134101 and 0135800) put into circulation on February 15, 2016 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of that same Visegrád Group.
The special cancellation from Prague, designed by Miloslav Bláha, features the geographical contours of these four Central European countries... http://timbredujura.blogspot.com/2016/02/historical-vehicles-and-olympics-in.html
