L'Assemblée nationale a instauré en 2014 la date du 27 mai comme Journée nationale de la Résistance, en référence à la première réunion du Conseil national de la Résistance (CNR) qui s'est déroulée le 27 mai 1943 à Paris.
Cette journée est l'occasion d'une réflexion sur les valeurs de la Résistance et celles portées par le programme du Conseil national de la Résistance, en particulier à travers tous les lieux de mémoire en France et les établissements scolaires.

The French National Assembly established in 2014 the date of May 27th as National Day of Resistance, in reference to the first meeting of the National Council of Resistance (CNR) held on May 27, 1943 in Paris.
