Jára Cimrman est le plus grand dramaturge, poète, architecte, musicien, professeur, voyageur, philosophe, inventeur, criminologue et sportif tchèque de tous les temps.
Cimrman aurait, entre autres, déposé au gouvernement américain le projet du canal de Panama, construit le 1er aérostat avec le comte allemand Ferdinand von Zeppelin, transporté 45 hottes d'uranium dans la cave des époux Pierre et Marie Curie, conseillé à Gustave Eiffel de concevoir des pieds plus souples à la future Tour Eiffel...
