Tribute to painter J. Schikaneder in Czech Rep. / Hommage au peintre J. Schikaneder en Rép. Tchèque
A l'occasion du 90ème anniversaire de la mort du peintre Jakub Schikaneder (1855-1924), la poste tchèque a mis en circulation, le 5 novembre 2014, un timbre spécial reproduisant une de ses oeuvres, intitulée "Rue en hiver" (1900-1910), conservée à la galerie Kodl à Prague, également une prestigieuse salle de vente d'oeuvres d'art en République Tchèque.

La gravure à gauche sur cette enveloppe est inspirée d'un autre tableau de Schikaneder intitulé "Femme assise avec un bonnet blanc" (1885).
To mark the 90th anniversary of the death of Czech painter Jakub Schikaneder (1855-1924), the Czech Post has released on November 5, 2014, a special stamp reproducing one of his works, entitled "Street in winter" (1900 -1910), kept at the Kodl gallery in Prague, which is also a prestigious art auction house in Czech Republic.
It is that stamp (CZK 25), engraved by Václav Fajt, which is on the official FDC below with a postmark from Prague.
